2023 Marciano Estate EVOO 500ml
As Maurice Marciano searched for the ideal site to grow and produce wine, he also pursued a longtime dream: crafting world-class olive oil. With the guidance of renowned olive consultant Milagros Castro, that vision became reality. Today, Marciano Estate is home to thriving olive groves with hundreds of trees, featuring a curated mix of Italian and Spanish cultivars.
Each fall, the olives are hand-harvested into small, vented bins and transported immediately to the estate’s on-site mill. There, the oil is extracted just moments after picking, preserving the fruit’s fresh, spicy character while maximizing polyphenol content and antioxidant properties.
Marciano Estate’s certified organic, 100% extra virgin olive oils are bottled unfiltered to maintain their bold, pungent, and vibrant qualities. They have been honored with multiple gold medals from the California Olive Oil Council and the Napa Valley Olive Oil Competition, and were named Best EVOO of the USA in 2023 by the EVOOWR.
Caring for the land is at the heart of the estate’s philosophy. After milling, all olive pomace is composted on-site to return nutrients to the soil. Vineyards and groves are never left bare—strategically planted cover crops enrich the earth, improve soil structure, and foster a thriving ecosystem. Each spring, sheep graze the property, a natural approach that enhances soil fertility and supports the long-term vitality of the trees.
